The 2025 Teaching Calendar

The Acupuncture Sports Medicine Apprenticeship Program
Three weekends of orthopedic assessment, anatomical point location, and our precise and effective treatment techniques. This 60 hour live seminar program from Whitfield Reaves provides the basis and fundamentals for all those who want to specialize in sports acupuncture. Each weekend course features lectures as well as supervised practice with Whitfield and his practitioner assistants. In addition to precise sports acupuncture skills, this popular program offers the benefits of a learning community with like-minded colleagues. We have been teaching The Apprenticeship Program for almost 20 years, and it keeps getter better and better. Join us!

Acupuncture Sports Medicine:
The Shoulder and Upper Extremity

January 31, Feb 1, & Feb 2, 2025

Learn diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of many common neck, shoulder, and upper extremity injuries. Includes the rotator cuff muscles, the acromial-clavicular joint, as well as the medial and lateral tendons of the elbow. Learn how to assess and treat dysfunction in neck and shoulder posture. We included many other injuries and pain syndromes commonly seen in clinic and have need-to-know treatment protocols. All in a mentorship-style group with direct supervision of location, palpation, and needle techniques with Whitfield, Jenny, and our wonderful assistants.

This is the first weekend of the 2025 program. Courses may be taken alone or as a three-part Certification Program. Courses do not need to be taken in order.

The Apprenticeship Program is taught in Oakland, California
Site: Overlooking the bay and Alameda at the Executive Inn and Suites
CEUs/PDAs: 20 hours for this three-day weekend
Cost: $1,400 for this three-day weekend
